Public Note of Thanks to TWC_Hoss

Postby TWC_BlindAsABat » Wed Oct 24, 2018 5:24 am

Chaps and Chapesses,

This morning I think it only right that I put forward a vote of thanks for TWC_Hoss who organised and lead a low level Hurribomber raid into France last evening. His outstanding airmanship and navigation skills got all five ships over the target without being detected. The target was thoroughly beaten up and four Hurricanes exited safely, one managed to blow himself up with his own bombs (I didn't know about setting fuzes for delay. I've never done ultra-low level bombing before. OK?), and, after some adventures involving no less than six flights of enemy fighters bent on revenge, made it back to UK airspace.

A tremendous achievement and bloody good fun. Let us hear it for Hoss! Yay!!!!!!!!!

For service and devotion above and beyond the call of duty. For heroism in the face of harsh adversity, I award you the medal of the chocolate frog. Wear it with pride pilot..quickly before it melts!

Soooo... only staff officers rate metallic medals? Perhaps you can at least upgrade it to tin foil. Just snip a small portion off your hat. :D

Now that was some sortie Hoss, thoroughly enjoyed strafing those Stukas on the ground and seeing them rage with fire, only a pity there were no breathers in their aircraft when we struck!!

Must do another one, and this time try to find the bl**dy German Breathers!!

BTW, you did lead extremely well mate!

Hoss has an uncanny sense of direction....like a homing pigeon that can work it out both ways. He has a clever compass systems that he reads like a clock.....not sure how that one works but it does. Combine this with his clever and cunning flight paths and bombing accuracy makes him a formidable adversary. I believe he deserves more than just one chocolate frog medal.....that must rank up there with a DFC with bars.......
There's something good waitin' down this road
